Our Principal Consultants lead others and bring energy, innovative thinking, and a drive to excel on a highly successful team.  Our Principal Consultants not only advise customers on strategy and evidence generation planning, but work actively on research initiatives from scientific protocol development through dissemination.  We offer access to some of the largest secondary data assets available for outcomes research, avenues for primary data collection, and the resources of our parent company to drive unique data and research opportunities.  Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Business Development Responsible for business development activities (including, but not limited to development of proposals) for a set of key clients (4-6) Manage client relationships Strategically coordinate with other Principal Consultants and Business Development leads Grow business through client relationships, new service offerings, and a reputation of consistently superior customer service and quality Leadership Advance dissemination of results via manuscript, reports, and conference presentations Lead and present original research to further the teams presence at professional conferences and in peer-reviewed literature Coordination with other intercompany resources to support your business Mentor and train new research staff as needed Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: A doctoral degree in health services research (HSR), health economics, epidemiology, PharmD, MD, or masters with equivalent experience 10+ years of research and project management experience Record of publication in the HEOR space Experience conducting HEOR research in various disease and areas with pharmaceutical and device therapies Demonstrated experience in management of teams across multiple functional areas Demonstrated experience in data driven research Experience with secondary data assets, administrative claims databases or electronic medical record data Interpersonal savvy and the ability to build relationships both internally at UHG and with customers are critical Skills in interacting with people in sometimes difficult situations are critical Must have a curious mind and be internally motivated to achieve excellence If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
