We invite you to apply for the role of Supervisor Electrical Conveyor Installation Technician! In this position, you will lead all aspects of, direct, coordinate, and be accountable for the electrical installation project teams. Coordinate project manpower, maintain project budgets and prepare reports for management.
ResponsibilitiesThis position requires 100% travelAccountable for the entire Electrical installation at customer sites related to onsite activities, schedule, and budget.Works closely with assigned project manager on customer related issues and schedule requirements and conforms safety for all employees.Leads with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor systems installations.Works directly with assigned Supporting Manager of installation services on manpower, forecasting, staffing, detailing hours of extra work with explanation (Overrun Alerts), and identifying risks early on.Reports via email any inconsistencies in engineered drawings to the lead Electrical engineer and Installation Manager for a resolution to avoid delays to the installation process within 24 hours to maintain a sense of urgency.Requests and documents all inspections, repair work, and equipment failuresAttends on-site meetings with customers when vital to coordinate any special situations related to work schedules, badge issues, staging and storage of equipment and tools, break room and restroom usage, and any other issues related to the performance of the Electrical installation with the proper customer representatives.Effectively communicates and sets expectations with Electrical Leads to broadcast directives down to support installers.Plays an active role in the hiring and layoff process of local labor coordinating all actions with the Installation Manager and HR representative or Labor Supplier.Keeps an updated log of changes made from the original layout of the system and submits (as builds) drawings back to engineering for every project.Completes and signs check-out sheets for the entire system to accept responsibility, of work and assure a high level of quality installation.Assists engineering commissioners with system run-in and troubleshooting.Demonstrates proven knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within conveyor systems installations.Leads with a hands-on approach to the work.Flexible and adaptive on the fly with engineering, customer, general contractor, and supporting labor issues.Applies mastery of skills and adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment, as appropriate to the needs of the projectAdvanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC (NFPA70, NFPA70E and NFPA79).
Read and understand electrical schematics and device layout drawingsPerform layout of control panels for conduit routing and pull sheets.Perform detailed material take-offs to figure conduit, wire, wireway, and associated fittings to complete any given project.Maintain general electrical installation standards as it pertains to Honeywell and customer standards.Knowledge of conduit routing and bending and the ability to train others to accomplish quality work in this areaMaintain housekeeping and general clean up duties throughout the site.May be required to serve as a qualifier for various licenses.You Must HaveRequires 6+ years of experience in a leadership role in the electrical industry.We ValueBachelors degree or technical/professional certificateExperience directing 20+ employees and 2-10 leads on large projects.Patience in stressful environmentsExperience managing tight project schedulesExperience planning and estimating time for installation-related activitiesInnovative approaches to improving standard processesAbility to collaborate with others and work independentlyAbility to use experience to appropriately apply the established standardsDemonstrated ability to effectively manage a teamStrong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and the ability to work well in a diverse, team-centric environment
