Transforming healthcare and millions of lives as a result starts with the values you embrace and the passion you bring to achieve your lifes best work.(sm)The Sr. Behavioral Health Business Analyst supports the Behavioral Health Department and reports to the VP, Behavioral Health Operations in a hybrid role to serve as 1) A subject matter expert / consultant / thought-leader for at-risk populations with potential behavioral, cognitive, learning, and emotional barriers to access healthcare / resources, 2) Design and conduct qualitative / quantitative impact studies, patient/provider experience assessments, and provide consultation (data/empirical and/or survey / focus group-based)Lead and manage behavioral health projects, initiatives and continually making recommendations on business needs; Develop project plans, guide and monitor organizational performance to plan and identify strategies and actions to improve and enhance operations and 3) The position acts as the liaison and internal consultant to other departments within WellMed that partner with Behavioral Health, such as marketing, training and development, One Care Team staff / leadership, and enterprise leadership as it relates to Behavioral Health populations. The position will serve as a key resource with other functional teams across WellMed and OptumCare to execute on business and operational goals for Behavioral Health and at-risk populations.Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in the area of at-risk populations with behavioral, cognitive, learning and/or emotional barriers to accessing resources and healthcare Leverage SME competencies to lead complex projects that require cross-functional coordination.  Work closely with applicable departments to accomplish mutual goals and strategies in order to achieve company goals Provide expertise in project planning, execution, and monitoring. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of assigned projects and maintains a project management framework that enables a project core team to successfully execute projects. Maintains and analyzes project schedule and prepares regular status reports for management and key stakeholders.  Identify project risks, opportunities and issues, and develop resolutions to meet quality and timeline goals and objectives Plan development including creation, design, development, implementation, and overall change management Assist with team direction, problem-solve, and guide team members as needed Identify and analyze trends, strategies, and tactics to increase the productivity of WellMed Behavioral Health to drive positive performance on organizational key performance metrics and improve the patient, staff, and provider experience Identify opportunities for improved scalability of the organization, including opportunities for increased productivity and reduced costs (e.g., streamlined processes, new roles, workload shift) Partner with key stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with the goals and objectives of the business. Identify, develop, and present recommendations; lead implementation of approved solutions Own and/or manage SharePoint sites created to support key Behavioral Health initiatives as well as audit, compile, and analyze data to create reports for senior leadership Perform all other related duties as assignedYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Mathematics / Data Science, Behavioral Health, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field required (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree). If the degree is in Social Work, certification or licensure in Social Work 4+ years of experience with supporting and engaging at-risk populations within the behavioral health / mental health area 1+ years of experience building dashboards via data visualization tool, such as Tableau Solid analytical / statistical skills used in evaluating / analyzing data and providing business recommendations Advanced PC and MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook, Share Point) 1+ years of experience support or leading medium to large projects Experience interacting one-on-one and consulting with all levels of leadership If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained      Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field Experience interacting with and coordinating / leading healthcare interventions and strategies 5+ years of experience with supporting at-risk populations in the behavioral health / mental health area Experience using relational data bases (example: SQL) Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or willingness to gain certification within a year of hire) Certification in Project Management or Change Management (or willingness to gain certification within a year of hire)Careers with WellMed.
