Join us and start doing your life’s best work.(sm)The Business Reporting Senior Analyst will be responsible for the management and manipulation of quality data with a focus on creating business intelligence tools, conducting analysis, and assuring data quality. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting including the design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and analysis of database queries and reports. Presents analysis results / recommendations to management in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner. Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information. In addition, the Business Reporting Senior Analyst serves as the subject matter expertise on all Quality and Practice Support Unit data sources and report content to ensure total system quality assurance is met at all times.If you are located in Florida, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Design, develops test, document and maintain database queries and reports related but not limited to: Quality (HEDIS / STARS), Member Visit Data, Member Care Gaps, and Risk Adjustment Coding Develop systematic reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting to management Work with Quality and Practice Support Unit teams to create a prioritized list of needs for each area and documents additional requirements to enrich reporting capabilities Manage reporting and analysis elements on all business initiatives and projects Translate large quantities of in-depth data into meaningful, professional and easy to understand formats that display the informations overall significance to various audiences Create on-line tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of staff in their role in servicing our internal and external customers Recommend and implement new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information Troubleshoot data integrity issues, analyze data for completeness to meet business needs, and propose documented solution recommendations Coordinate and works to resolve all issues related to reports supported by the department Gain feedback for service improvement opportunities that give a comprehensive understanding of internal and external customer behaviors and needsYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field required. (4+ years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree) 3+ years of related professional experience in a reporting and analytic role including the design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance of reporting tools and database queries Experience with health plan or health care administration Understanding of HEDIS, HEDIS measures, Medicare Star Ratings and Medicare Risk Adjustment Advanced level skills in MS Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables and lists Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, SQL, SQL Reporting Services, and other equivalent data capture / reporting tools If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking ordersPreferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business or Information Technology 5+ years of reporting/analytic experience in the Healthcare Industry 1+ years of experience in a managed care environment Experience in Medicare Advantage Part D (MAPD) operations Familiarity with website development Familiarity with MS Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or other Reporting Tools Development experience with APIs using Java, MS or similar technology  Experience building tabular models in SSAS Familiarity with SSIS Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail Self-starter with a proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and ensure successful completion of all projects and requests Solid verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, including executive and senior management teams Ability to prioritize effectively and multi-task in high volume workload situationsCareers with WellMed.
