This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand childrens ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for childrens developmental needs. Positions may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers for program operations. Salary: The hourly wage range is $13.78 to $19.55 through August 31, 2023. As of September 1, 2023, the hourly rate will increase to $15.31 to $21.72 due to a cost of living adjustment. The minimum requirements for this position are; Must be 18 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certificate, Willing to obtain CDA within six months of hire. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support to get a teachers qualification, including CDA support and coaching. TCHS will offer financial support toward a BA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education. Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years preferred.
