Durango 4C Council (Tri-County Head Start) is looking for a Preschool Teacher 1 at the Head Start Classroom at Pagosa Springs Elementary School 

Preschool Teacher 1 at the Head Start Classroom at Pagosa Springs Elementary School Starting in August 2023 A sign-on bonus of $1,500 for new hires getting a CDA within six months and working an additional three months of successful employment. If a new hire already holds a CDA, the bonus will be paid after six months of successful employment. The offer is for external new hires only. Join our dynamic organization. Responsibilities of this position encompass comprehensive facets of early childhood education, including building environments, trusting relationships, and classroom functions to promote childrens social-emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This role follows Head Start Performance Standards and State regulations, ensures healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate practices, leads engagement with families, supervises and mentors classroom aides, and ensures the classroom is maintained and secure. Salary: The hourly wage range is $16.92 to $19.79 through August 31, 2023. As of September 1, 2023, the hourly rate will increase to $18.80 to $21.98 due to a cost of living adjustment. Principal applicants must have previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years and, at a minimum, hold; A higher education degree with 18 credit hours of foundational Early Childhood courses completed, or a current Preschool CDA TCHS offers financial support toward a BA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education.
