Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer’s return visit. Promote trust and respect among associates.Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.Communicate verbally with customers and store personnelReceive prescriptions from customers, assure validityDispense filled prescriptions accurately to customersInput information into computer for processingContact doctors’ offices to request refill authorizationInput prescription and customer information into the computer system accurately.Bag filled prescriptionsOrder drugs and prescription supplies, verify orders and stock to correct locationsFacilitate charge purchases for customersPractice safe drug handling procedures within the legal guidelines and regulationsMaintain accurate records for pharmacyClean and maintain sanitation and appearance in pharmacyRotate product, monitor code dates, and remove out of code product.Count, pour and retrieve legend drugs for prescription fillingPrepare prescriptions for mailingReturn prescription drugs to stock at appropriate intervalsProcess and bill third party insurance companies; Contact insurance companies on behalf of customers when necessary.Complete required forms and reports properlyNotify management of customer or employee accidents.Report all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
