Paraprofessional – Head Start Classroom at Pagosa Springs Elementary School Starting August 2023 Offering a sign-on bonus of $1,000 to new hires to be paid out after six months of successful employment. Position Purpose: The Paraprofessional duties are supervising, supporting, and monitoring student behavior during daily activities, especially transitions (meals, playground, hallways and walks, and nap time). The position fluctuates between direct, one-on-one assistance and background support. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in a classroom setting and be open and willing to accommodate unique needs in an inclusive environment. Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $13.65 to $14.92 an hour, dependent on education level through August 31, 2023. As of September 1, 2023, hourly rate will increase to $15.16 – $16.57. Minimum requirements: High school diploma/GED Prior experience working with children six weeks to 5 years of age is preferred.
