Key responsibilities include contracting and credentialing for physicians and ancillary providers. This position works closely with medical staff, market operations staff, healthplan payor partners as well as corporate network support staff.If you are located in Florida, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Participates in creation and execution of a local network development plan to assure network adequacy Assures accurate tracking, completion, and communication of Letter of Interest (LOI) submissions, contracts, amendments, and terminations with physicians and ancillary providers within established guidelines Responsible to gather credentialing information and assure provider directory accuracy Works closely with network coordination, eligibility, and credentialing departments to assist in resolving provider and member specific issues related to claims, eligibility and referrals Facilitates bi-weekly and monthly meetings with Executive Level WellMed Leadership staff and the provider network teams in contracting and network development Participates in monthly meetings with healthplan payor partners to discuss and strategize on network expansion, resolve contracting and credentialing issues/concerns, ensure members primary care provider assignments are accurate and evaluate terminations Works closely with contracting team to ensure provider data is correct and Provider directories include any needed updates. Completes PIC forms as needed Responsible for Member Move Process in assigned geographical region. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, conducting member specific research, initiating patient reassignment to the appropriate provider, providing timely communication with other internal departments and externally with the appropriate healthplan/payer Works with market and network coordination team to develop and execute training on network coordination activities to market staff in assigned geographic region. (Proj coord/PBMs) Provides information and participate in management meetings as requested Performs all other related duties as assignedYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in a related field (2 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of an Associates degree) 2+ years of provider relations or managed care experience Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to interface effectively both internally and externally with a wide range of people including physicians, office staff, hospital executives and other health plan staff Solid knowledge of local provider communityPreferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in related field Significant understanding of medical care financing and delivery systems, provider contracting, reimbursement arrangements and network management Professional provider relations experience involving physicians and administrative staff Provider recruitment and contracting experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with effective follow through Solid verbal and written communication skillsCareers with WellMed.
