GPAC is looking for a Fiber Joint Use Permit Strategist 

As the Fiber Joint Use and Permit Strategist, you will work on a market and project basis with our Fiber team, focused on competitive joint use, permit and easement acquisition, right of way coordination, and overseeing projects to completion based on affected timelines. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining established relationships with entities such as pole owners, municipalities, counties, townships, and more to obtain easements in an expeditious manner based on provided fiber designs. In addition, the Strategist will perform permit, easement, joint use, and land-based market analysis to determine competitor movements and potential competitive advantages or strategic moves to make that ensure the companys future success in a market. A successful candidate for the role of Fiber Joint Use Permit Strategist will have a competitive mindset and view each market as an opportunity to place the company in the drivers seat through permit applications, governmental or stakeholder relations, joint use, and other methodologies. You will be asked to utilize this mindset to dive into markets and perform research that assists in determining a competitors gameplan, next steps, and where to block or re-direct assets. You will prepare reports with this information for the leadership team and advise on strategic placement to help the company gain competitive traction in our marketplaces. You will be asked to file easements, utility pole attachment agreements, and organize job aspects such as financial spend tracking, material orders, and data on a project. Duties and Responsibilities: · Design and act on competitive strategies for permitting, joint use, rights of way, and other methodologies of fiber construction that give the companys marketplace advantages · With Engineering team and other company resources, file proper easements for fiber construction with local authorities, and track accordingly within the companies area of operations · With Engineering team and other company resources, file joint use applications for fiber construction with proper authorities, and track accordingly · As necessary to maintain project schedules, with leadership and Engineering team, research and develop methodologies and resources for quicker easement/right of way acquisition · Collaborate with Accounting and Engineering to help ensure financial aspects of a fiber build are tracked appropriately · Take part in weekly project calls to keep team members apprised of statuses of easements, permits, right of way, and other jobs · Analyze and develop internal processes and implement procedural changes as appropriate to enhance success · Provide budgetary and timeline-based reporting on fiber projects · All other duties as assigned Qualifications: A qualified candidate for the Fiber Joint Use Permit Strategist must possess the following skills, or have equivalent experience and/or qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent required · 1-5 years of experience in Power Generation · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills and must be detail oriented. · Great knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within proprietary computer applications. · Flexibility to work outside of standard 8am-5pm hours and be willing to travel on a limited basis. · Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem-solving abilities Physical Requirements: · This position requires sitting to complete work with a computer using a variety of software applications and telephone. · 20%+ / – of the ti
