Custodian/Maintenance at Pagosa Springs Sign-on bonus of $1,000 for a qualified candidate once hired. Bonus paid after six months of successful employment. The offer is for external new hires only. The wage range is $15.22 to $16.30, depending on education and experience. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, classrooms, office space, and restrooms. Assists with daily cleaning and sanitizing of toys and materials in classrooms Empties all trash and garbage containers from all areas. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalks and other areas as assigned while on shift. Lays ice melt on sidewalks and walkways as needed. Maintains building by performing minor and routine maintenance activities as assigned. Notifies supervisor concerning need for repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Conduct monthly assessments to track major and minor maintenance needs; Assist with seeking bids/estimates for development/maintenance projects; May be responsible for personally providing maintenance on small immediate-need projects; (ex. assembly of fixtures/furniture, repairing lighting fixtures, doors, latches, minor plumbing repairs) Develop a working knowledge of resources within the community for maintenance/development project support; Verify maintenance that is performed by vendors has been completed within the contract terms and expectations; Follow all health & safety procedures while conducting maintenance within the facility. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
