Join us and start doing your life’s best work.(sm)Optums Provider Product team is building a team of experienced, disciplined, product leaders to drive the future of the product portfolio for OptumInsight.  These experts will deeply understand clients’ challenges, modernizing infrastructure, advancing care and how to translate those challenges to a product strategy, roadmap and execution.Specifically, the provider product team will be accountable for modernizing existing portfolio products, integrating together disparate capabilities and operations today and identifying gaps in the overall portfolio to address our client needs.Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:  Participate in the effective development and deployment of our clinical services to meet customer needs, with focus on working collaboratively with the Optum IT team to development enabling technology solutions for our clinical services Develop and maintain business relationships across internal groups and outside partners Communicate effectively across key stakeholder groups and business leaders Act as primary clinical product team counterpart to IT team, leading product development and deployment projects that result in market-ready solutions and capabilities Leverage research, industry knowledge, and data to identify opportunities for product improvement Understand internal business plus customer needs and requirements Evaluate options to meet comprehensive needs that may include internal capabilities and external vendor solutions, making sensible business recommendations to leadership Drive execution of projects across the product lifecycle, including but not limited to: Seeking input and expertise from stakeholders across businesses Coordination across business units to create cohesive IT vision and requirements Translation of business needs into documented plan and funding request Supporting IT project plan and scoping documents development Management of clinical product IT requests and documentation Monitoring performance against IT development goals Delivery of status reports, identifying and escalating risks and issues when appropriate Adapt plans and priorities to address evolving business goals and operational challenges Support service deployment and closely monitor performance, working with team to ensure financial viability and operational excellence Serve as SME to team and other constituents; provide input on the work of other team members Provide input to departmental plans and priorities to achieve business goals, address operational challenges and mitigate risks Help onboard new team membersYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of product development or management experience within a matrixed organization 3+ years of health care related experience If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with, facilitating integration and/or optimizing health care provider Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills Sound strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to communicate IT needs based on business objectives Sound presentation, written and verbal communication skills, including communicating with senior leadership Ability to develop relationships with and drive alignment across business and IT stakeholders Ability to think strategically and collaboratively to overcome obstacles and achieve project results Adaptable and flexible style; able to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous situations Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and meet deadlines Proven track record of working with peer group as well as internal/external business partners to achieve project goalsCareers with Optum.
