This is the place to do your life’s best work.(sm)The Actuarial Analyst, ALDP (Actuarial Leadership Development Program) will be a member of the team supporting the Specialty Benefits product line. This Actuarial Analyst will work with other Actuaries on the team to help develop product strategy and pricing for various dental products. In this role, you will also support the integration of recent acquisitions by developing strategy for both in force business and new business opportunities.   Additional Projects may include: Developing and maintaining actuarial models, tools, and databases Preparing experience analyses Support ad hoc studies used to develop pricing strategies Providing detailed summaries, reports and recommendations to assist in managerial decision making Collaborate and communicate results and technical concepts Develop presentation materials and communicate results of actuarial analyses to various stakeholdersThe preferred location for this position is Minnetonka, MN or any UHG office.  Telecommuters will also be considered.  Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics, or related field 1+ years of work experience in an actuarial, analytical, research, math, or related position Advanced or higher level of proficiency with MS Excel Working toward ASA Designation If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
