Make yourself at home with us and start doing your life’s best work.(sm) Northeast Regional Operations New York and New Jersey is responsible for the performance of the national Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs within the Clinical Transformation team in the Northeast.  This includes accountability for the clinical transformation consultants (CTC) supporting ACOs, setting goals and aligning priorities with the regions business needs.  This role will represent clinical transformation in various settings and convert national enterprise initiatives into clear operational actions for our field teams.   The selected candidate will develop ACO program goals specific to quality, affordability, and practice transformation, drive program execution, and oversee CTC operations. The Regional Director is accountable for presenting program performance status to senior leadership and key business partners.   Youll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from NY, NJ or the East Coast of the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.  NY or NJ are preferred but open to candidates in the East Coast.Primary Responsibilities: Accountable for successful execution of UHCs ACO Affordability programs across Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Establish national program goals specific to quality, affordability, utilization and practice transformation Build and effectively maintain relationship UHC functional leaders supporting all three LOB Build and effectively maintain relationships with team members in the UHC Clinical organization including regional operations leads, Chief Medical Officers, Network leads, and Health Care Economic Analysts in support of the program Consult and partner with UHC matrix partners and UHC leaders to identify organizational and structural challenges hindering achievement of desired program outcomes Develop and execute on strategies based on performance analysis at national, regional, and market levels, for improvement that includes specific outcomes and metrics to monitor progress to a goal Develop and execute communications plan to maintain visibility to the ACO programs at multiple leadership levels Use data to analyze key cost, utilization and quality data and interpret results to assess the performance of the program Use data to analyze trends and work with stakeholders to agree on and implement proactive strategies to address issues, and measure impact using a PDSA rapid cycle improvement approach. Educate & Deploy tools to support the regional Clinical Transformation teams Guide field operations teams on developing innovative solutions, including bringing best practice experience and connecting practices with other high performing practices to spur performance and innovation Effectively maintain a 4.5 plus STAR rating for all Medicare ACOs through oversight and collaboration with the regional directors and their clinical consultantsYoull be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree 10+ years experience working in cross-functional business areas such as general management, strategic planning, business development, and people management 5+ years combined experience with improving clinical quality, health care analytics, or driving clinical transformation initiatives with population health programs, Patient Center Medical Homes or in Accountable Care Organizations Experience working within the Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business Experience working with and collaborating successfully with senior level leadership Demonstrated experience leading groups Intermediate+ level proficiency with Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Willingness to travel up to 50% for face to face meetings If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener.
