When youre exceptional at what you do, you belong at Otava.  At Otava, Expect Exceptional isnt just a nifty tagline for our logo, its a promise to our clients and our employees that we will never be satisfied with good enough. Were on a mission to raise cloud delivery expectations up an octave – working in harmony with our clients, innovating for the future and elevating client results beyond all expectations.About the Position:The Account Executive (Enterprise Direct Sales) will hunt for new clients to identify new business accounts within our target markets to create win-win solutions in a highly consultative manner.Responsibilities:Target clients in the C-suite, developing new relationships and act as a business partner to understand the clients challenges and goalsEffectively organize workload to exceed sales quotas and related metrics, and accurately forecast all pipeline revenue opportunities in a timely manner, using Salesforce.comWork closely with the Solution Architect counterparts, the RSMs primary role will be to identify, scope, price and secure commitments for and net new businessPrepare and deliver proposals as well as business presentationsRepresent the company at industry events in territory or broader events when needed.Manage the sales process from outbound prospecting, understanding requirements, presenting and demonstrating offerings solutions, closing sales orders, and delivering customer requirements to operationsHandle price negotiations with a focus on value-based selling and positioning Otavas core differentiators that enables potential customers to identify value received for their commitments to usCoordinate with solution architects, sales engineering and operations to ensure that the customers technical and delivery requirements can be achieved before an order is securedWork closely with internal team to maximize customer experienceOther duties as required to assist the Otava sales team in achieving their objectivesRequirements and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalentFive to ten years of experience in outside technical sales (at least three years must be in selling cloud and hosted solutions) working with potential customers and internal technical resources to identify, cultivate, and close dealsProven track record with complex enterprise-level IT environments, including understanding of servers, networking, hosting, colocation, and data centersConsultative solution selling expertise “ selling solutions and capabilities, not just products “ and including track record of success with C-suite prospective customer personnelDemonstrated track record in overachieving objectives and ability to close salesExtensive experience in IT-related sales, especially SaaS or IaaS solutionsExperience with cloud solutionsExperience with backup and replication technologiesWhat will really make you stand out?Proficient with, Microsoft Office suite, phone skills, face-to-face and virtual selling, and solution salesDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentStrong verbal and written communications skillsAble to build rapport easily with customersStrong critical thinking and communication skills (both oral and written)Detail orientated with a high sense of urgencySelf-motivated with strong work ethic with a can-do positive attitudeDesire to be a part of the fast-paced, high-energy entrepreneurial experienceAbout Otava:Recognized as a Best and Brightest Company to Work for multiple years running; Highlighted by Forrester (Wave) as a top cloud hoster; Recipient of 10 industry awards in the past year alone; Famous for fun-filled, over-the-top meetings and camaraderie; Boastful of our competitive salaries and $$$ for new client and employee referrals; Proud beyond all words of our exceptional culture of service.
